Grandma Speak provides the ultimate experience to connect the lives of Elders and Youth through reciprocal storytelling. 

MISSION To record the history of elders and youth through storytelling and to preserve their memories which inspires mental and physical enrichment to enhance their lives. 

Goal: 

• to develop a sustainable working model for retaining memories 

• to create a forum for the preservation of stories of persons of African descent 

• to record and document oral histories 

• to educate and train youth of African descent as Interview and Preservation Specialists

• to establish a connection with seniors (Grandparents & Elders) through storytelling 

Objectives: 

• to create a working framework for legacy retention 

• to develop a pilot program as part of their legacy 

• to use hybrid techniques (interviewers and technology) for recording and preservation 

• to utilize cultural educators and training consultants to develop interviewers 

• to have Elders “connect” to youth by interviewing them utilizing webinars, podcasts, Skype and workshops
